The necessary tools:
- A touch screen Nokia Lumia 520, available on Nokia service center in Btm layout.
- Torx t5 screwdriver
- A plastic spatula
- Precision forceps
Change Nokia Lumia 520 touch screen
- Before changing the Nokia Lumia 520 touch screen replacement , it is recommended to switch it off. To do this, press the power button for a few seconds and then confirm the shutdown by selecting the Shut Down button.
- Gently pry with your plastic spatula to remove the back shell.
- Remove the Lumia 520 battery from its slot by gently prying on the battery.
- Pull the SIM card and the micro SD card out of their slots with the flat side of the plastic spatula.
- Using a Torx screwdriver, unscrew the 8 screws that are used to hold the internal chassis to the LCD block.
- Insert your plastic spatula into the gap between the inner frame and the LCD block then slide the spatula to separate them.
- You can now remove the Lumia 520 internal chassis.
- Always using your spatula, gently pry in order to disconnect the tablecloth from the LCD screen of the motherboard.
- Reuse your plastic spatula to disconnect the tablecloth from the touch screen.
- Insert the spatula between the screen frame and the motherboard. Now, gently pry in order to lift the motherboard.
- Use your plastic spatula again to unclip the LCD screen from the touch screen.
- Remove the proximity sensor from its location using precision pliers.
- The Nokia Lumia 520 touch screen is disassembled. You can replace it with another new one and then reassemble.
- To reassemble your Lumia 520, simply follow the steps above in the reverse order.
