Step 1: Clean the lens and laser of the camera

If your photos and videos are a little fuzzy or the camera has trouble focusing, clean the lens.

Step 2: Restart your phone
  1. Press and hold the power button on your device.

Use safe mode to check if another app is causing the problem. To do this, do the following:

  1. Press and hold the power button  on your device.
  2. On the screen, press and hold the Shut Down button  .
  3. Your device will start in safe mode. At the bottom of the screen, you will see the message "safe mode".
  4. Open your camera and see if it works.
    • If the Google Camera works in safe mode, it is possible that another app is causing the problem.
      1. To stop using safe mode, restart your phone.
      2. Uninstall the app you recently downloaded.
      3. Open your camera to see if the problem was solved. Otherwise, repeat the previous step.
      4. If the problem was solved, reinstall the apps that you removed.
